In addition to applying for several local openings this week, on a fun whim, I'm applying for work across the pond in Great Britain. Not holding my breath. But kinda fun. Perhaps it's high time to cause trouble somewhere new. ;0) 2

Him and his wife likes it so much he has decieded to stay for another two years and is learning the language. I lived in Germany for, four years (of course I was in the Army), but applied a few years ago for a job there. I was then injured so it never happened. Great Britian is really cool, I have been there...but very expensive; very! 1
Rain Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Good luck! My husband's company is large and all over world. There are just 3 in his group here so he flies to France a few times a year to be with his group. I keep hoping at some point that we can move just for a few years to Europe some time. My only wish is that we could have done it where we could have taken all of the kids. At this point, we likely would only be taking one. 1

Great Britian is really cool, I have been there...but very expensive; very! There are places in GB where it isn't so expensive. Where we live (south of London), it's rather expensive. And likely as not, most jobs being given to Yanks will probably be in London or thereabouts, and it's wicked expensive there. Of course, salaries in London are higher so as to compensate. 1

Of course when I was in the Army , it did not matter how long I might be away, and if I had children they would be American, and could hold dul citizenship. But to loose American citizenship, to me would be the loss of something precious...and I esteem it above almost all, except for family and ganreteened citizenship in the Kingdom of God.

U.S., or Canadian ...both are Western citizenships are more precious than any other.
