Tacenda Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Hey all, thank you for taking my poll, in the next couple of hours I'm going to screen shot it, if that's okay. Also, in my previous OP, it didn't have a place to post. Just wondering if anyone has something to say about my presentation or about why they voted the way they did. My idea for my presentation comes from the last few years and hearing my son say he didn't need to plan for his future, the world was going to end anyway. And he got the idea from a teacher at school, this was right before the December 21, 2012 Mayan calendar doom and gloom. And then a couple of years ago, my nephew read, I think, Visions of Glory or something along those lines, and he thinks we have maybe 4/5 years until the world will end. He's around 30 years old and single. I've had a hard time with these two situations and the youth thinking the world is so rotten. I have two nieces who don't want to bring children into this world, one has an only child and the other has two, but that was hard for her to do that. Just wondered if any of you have heard things like this from the youth too. Have the youth given up? Thanks for any input!!
Tacenda Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 I'm finished with my Power Point and notes, thanks everyone. Scared to give it tomorrow in class!
rpn Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Now that I can reply, I wanted to do your poll, but I just don't think that there has to be the choices and only the choices you listed. I think it could be different for different subjects.

The kids I know are ignoring the religious stuff, though one plans not to have kids because of passing on a nasty genetic disorder plus it could kill her. Sensible choice that one. There is some concern about affording them, but not much serious discussion with me over other issues. I think that is just the age difference, they probably talk to their own ages or parents about concerns. 1
Tacenda Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 Worked out well on my presentation. Had some great comments afterward, but my teacher said my Power Point was a little wordy, and that I should have only 7 or less on the bullet points per slide. My first time doing a Power Point presentation and it was just more than seven on the one slide, because I tried to fit in all that was better about the world, haha!! Didn't dawn me to separate them slide by slide. Any way, learning a lot!

Way to go!

If it weren't for me watching how elementary school kids do Power Point, it would have really intimidated me. 1
