I've read most of Vincent Bugliosi's massive tome, Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and think he makes a convincing case that Oswald was the (sole) shooter. I just read the last part of the book that addresses conspiracy theories, and it was pretty interesting. One thing I don't understand is how anyone can believe Oswald was part of a conspiracy in light of Oswald's actions after the assassination. If anyone else was involved, they would have to have been very concerned with what happened to Oswald after the shooting. There is no rational (or even irrational) plan that ends with "Have Oswald wander around Dallas, shoot a cop, and then get arrested in a movie theater a few hours later." Yep.....they believe we are surrounded by diabolical masterminds cut from the same cloth as Moriarty, Palpatine, the Master, and other great fictional masterminds. While worried about secret combinations attacking them they tend to join survivalist groups that are borderline secret combinations themselves. Again, the Book of Mormon warning is not to build them up or join them because you will go to hell. Somehow this has morphed into a purported divine mandate to see conspiracy everywhere. 1

I have to prevent her from stacking the Court, which will determine the direction of the Court for the next 2 generations.....I must prevent her from taking my guns. The Supreme Court will probably only have two Justices chosen in the next Presidential term. That might shift things but Republicans in the Senate can try to shoot down anyone way too screwy so they are likely to be moderates in any case. How is she going to take away your guns? The Republicans control the House and the Senate. Abortion numbers are falling pretty steadily since the 90s. Are you imagining she has a plan to get more women pregnant so they will go get abortions? I don't like Hillary but this kind of paranoia is a little much. Also, what are you thinking you can do about it? You have one lousy vote in a state that is probably not even a swing state. Unless you are planning something incredibly drastic or violent (in which case DON'T DO THAT) it will either happen or it will not. Nothing much you can do about it other then maybe annoying friends and family on Facebook with political posts. 4

It only takes one more Justice to whittle away our rights...the last gun rights case was 5-4 preserving our rights. It does not take a mathematician to see just ONE justice by her changes it 5-4 toward gun control. Same with abortions. If you paid attention to the news instead of practicing snarky, you would know that states are trying to regulate abortion clinics. Another Justice would swing 5-4 against those regulations. Paranoia? Not so much. Reality. People likely said, "This country will never allow flag burning under the guise of a First Amendment right....don't be paranoid!" But it did. And that is just one example. What can I do about it? I can do what I can do. That is what I have always done. I have spent my life not listening to those who say "what can you do about it?" Bush beat Gore by the slimmest of margins...and then...gasp...by 5-4 in the Supreme Court. So...I will do what I can do. Or...I can be snarky on a discussion board Naaa.....I will continue to do what I can do 1

If you want to fight Roe vs. Wade then fight it openly. These laws are just stupid and underhanded and unnecessary. God help the Mormon who is in one of those states and is traumatically raped and wants an abortion. I am in favor of reasonable gun control. No one is trying to overturn the Second Amendment but the public's need for assault rifles baffles me. You can do what you can do? Wow, what a brilliant tautology. As to your comparisons you are talking about living in a swing state or being a Supreme Court Justice. If you are the latter you have a major influence. If you are the former you have a very minor influence. Do either of these apply to you? If not then I fear your bravado about doing all you can do is pretty hollow. You found that response snarky? Wow, that was mild by my standards. I am better at this then I thought. 3
