mfbukowski Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) Nope, already called dibs. And of course you folks learn more about me when I pop in for comment. The same is true of everyone: the more you speak, the more you reveal yourself. Most of us have been pretty naked for years. Using your real name helps Edited October 14, 2015 by mfbukowski 1

mfbukowski Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 hahahahaha no thanks.Well in your case, of course no one would dream you actually are a Martian and your name is completely unspellable using any conventional alphabet known to humans. Better keep it secret. It would be too shocking to mankind to know the truth. But you should probably let us find some water there so we do not suspect that you really are hiding all of it. 1
iWriteStuff Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 You say that like it's a bad thing. Speaking for myself, I have nothing to hide. I post my thoughts and beliefs like most on here do. Why would you think people don't want to "reveal" themselves on here? When did I say it was a bad thing? Or that one would seek to do other than state what they believe? It's both good and natural and I'm enjoying getting a better sense of the make up of the forum. Hope that doesn't bother anyone.
mfbukowski Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I know of posters here who would lose their jobs if it was known they were LDS. Sad world we live in.

Mars Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 i know this gay couple - married - and their phd dissertation was on global warming. they were mormon, but now one of them's not and the other one is wondering what his place is as a "new mormon." kate kelly officiated at their wedding and john dehlin gave the toast. some women wore sleeveless dresses. 1

Mars Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) Did they follow it up with a toast to the Pope using new wine in old bottles? they think this pope is too liberal. it's neo-conservative a la richard cheney or death for them. very republican couple. go figure! Mars Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Yes, but were they denied health care as missionaries? no, but they vehemently oppose obamacare and yet are ardent supporters of forcing catholic hospitals to provide contraceptives.
Zakuska Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Touche. I dunno, global warming is a pretty hot topic, too.True. "Contamination" doesn't explain them finding so much C14 in these bones though, there shouldn't be any left at all after so long a time.

Paloma Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I think in that instance we have to remember that He wasn't contending with someone about doctrine-He was literally cleansing His Father's holy house from iniquity. The two experiences are apples and oranges in my opinion. He had authority to do that, being who He was and His mission. I believe in the existence of righteous anger, but i don't believe it exists when two people are disagreeing about a theological issue. It's the same thing with Jesus's labels (such as calling people hypocrites or 'white sepulchers, etc.). He had the ability to literally know what was going on in people's hearts. He also had the authority to judge other people and to call them to repentance. None of us posters here have either. Jesus is our perfect example, but we can't forget that He has abilities and authority that we don't. We have to be careful not to overstep our bounds. I think this is the most wise and God-honouring post I've ever read on this board. And (albeit in my limited experience) I've seen a lot of wonderful posters and I've read a lot of great threads. And ... I'm a bluebell fan too! 2

LOL It is a debatable prediction, we will see what happens. It is just a prediction by Dr. Wieslaw Maslowski.Still, Global Warming is real, and there is a flood of evidence that proves it. now answer my question in post 270 Edited October 14, 2015 by TheSkepticChristian
Zakuska Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) More on the 2016 "Ice Free Arctic" Prophecy made by Dr. Wieslaw Maslowski and his team of crack climatologists based on "new" computer models: Now they are working with a new computer model - compiled partly in response to those criticisms - that produces a "best guess" date of 2016. And one of the projections it comes out with is that the summer melt could lead to ice-free Arctic seas by 2016 - "plus or minus three years". "Basically, we're trying to make policymakers and people who need to know about climate change in the Arctic realise there is a chance that summer sea ice could be gone by the end of the decade. http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-13002706 Edited October 14, 2015 by Zakuska
