HappyJackWagon Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Instead of coming up with a program to help people integrate into a more normal life, one that isn't micromanaged from sun up to sun down, it would seem a reasonable plan to restructure the mission itself. Mission life is manufactured to create a spiritual experience but that level of control cannot and should not be maintained throughout life. Perhaps the mission should focus more on teaching young missionaries to structure their lives around correct principles and practices instead of artificial, pharasaical rules. 4

Teach them how to make decisions rather than telling them what decisions to make.

cinepro Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I've struggled with many things in my life. Coming home from my mission wasn't one of them. I was released at 3pm. Went to my brother's Jr. High graduation at 6pm. Went on a date with my future wife at 7pm, at which point she took it upon herself to help reintegrate me back to normal interpersonal relations between the genders. 2
