EllenMaksoud Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 For reasons I can not understand, part of Sunday was really rough when I should have been really happy. After services, I went with one of the Bishophric to talk in his office briefly, about a matter that left me feeling completely bereft. Before we sat down. the eight year old daughter of one of the women in my ward walked in with a red rose, and gave it to me saying, "I think you need a rose". She then hugged me and walked off, her act touching me so deeply that I cry when it comes to mind.I thank Heavenly Father for sometimes putting angels in our midst, even when they look like our children. This week has been really strange because mostly I try to be really sweet and loving to others, and often people will say things like, I have an aura about me, or my smile is completely lovely. Why I am so downcast, I do not know but if I have disappointed Heavenly Father, I want to fix that right away.I'm finally having to face the fact that there may be something like bipolar going on with me. It feels really embarassing and I am sorry. 3
Calm Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) I'm finally having to face the fact that there may be something like bipolar going on with me. It feels really embarassing and I am sorry.I don't think you have done anything you need to feel the least bit embarrassed about on the board at least, so perhaps that is a little reassuring. You may see your comments as more extreme than how they are coming across. The important thing is that if there is something going on, that you have recognized it and thus can get help from it.A suggestion---get your vitamin D levels checked, that has helped several women I know who have had mood issues. Kenngo1969 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Father does Thou know my name,A single soul of little worth. ...With deepest respect, not so. (Though I think I know what you're trying to convey, and I do feel that way myself often. But Christ bought us for the greatest price anyone can pay.)(Doctrine & Covenants 18:10-15) 10 Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God; 11 For, behold, the Lord your Redeemer suffered death in the flesh; wherefore he suffered the pain of all men, that all men might repent and come unto him. 12 And he hath arisen again from the dead, that he might bring all men unto him, on conditions of repentance. 13 And how great is his joy in the soul that repenteth! 14 Wherefore, you are called to cry repentance unto this people. 15 And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father! And yep, He does know your name. 1

Just a thought.Isn't it amazing though that God knows just who to send and when to send them? Edited July 18, 2013 by ERayR 1

Aspartame and other artificial sweeteners have been known to cause depression in some. Just a thought.Isn't it amazing though that God knows just who to send and when to send them? I just don't do sugar, diet pop, and am quite close to being vegetarian. But you are right, there is a causation, even if it is as simple as being humble.
