This seems such an imperfect test. Why would an intelligent architect employ a faulty test to determine merit based on behavior? Maybe you have a good answer for that. But guilt can exist in the perfectly worthy individual, and be absent in the most contemptible. If God declares the requirement to be obedience, it seems to me that the test ought to be actual obedience rather than how well one feels he or she is measuring up to a particular standard said to be authorized by God as a covenant for said blessings. That would be one way know if the doctrine is from God or not; that obeying the law would reliably produce the promissed blessings. These blessings ought to be described in a manner accessible to the weakest human mind that seeks after such things. As it is, we sometimes have to re-define, or stretch our understanding to come to some satisfaction that our behavior has been rewarded as promissed.

Yes it makes perfect sense .

How would it be possible to automatically be blessed if obedience is the test . It has to be in enbedded in our mind . That is why I believe the quailfier is obidience thus being guilt free and therefore deserving in the mind .If obedience is the test, how do disobedient people have blessings . I believe poverty and lack is a disease and that satan uses guilt to make man miserable . Guilt is a good thing . Guilt will guilde us if we let it . I believe we create the world our sub-conscience thinks we deserve . I see so many good people struggling and I believe the key to help them is obedience to the commandments so they can be guilt free and prosper in the land . Some many not even know that the feeling of not deserving comes from is guilt . IMO

I do like your ideas . They make me think and analize my belief , thank you . I will continue to analize and think . This is a work in progress.

While God is just this life is not. We have the parable of the 10 sons in the D&C where God admits this openly. Fairness and justice must wait for the next life or the Millenium. We endure this life and hope without promises for some joy in it. We truly enjoy the next.

Very true. And we need to polish our understanding of what "fair" really is.

Bottom line - Life is unfair. Just make sure you take the good part of unfairness (grace) along with the bad (pain, suffering, poverty, etc.).

All I know about this is through my experiances and faith. My whole life my family and I have struggled financially. We would buy a car and the transmission would die the next day, stuff like that. My wife and I have often wondered how it is that we are being blessed. We maintained our faithfulness and our testimony. As we have gotten older we are realizing that although we don't have alot of money still we have learned how to get by on less. We are raising 4 good sons and we are happy. The people that we were envious of do not appear to be happy even though they have everything they want. I have learned many skills and hobbies and I use that knowledge to bless others as well as my family. I know that even though we are struggling in this life as long as we hold to the rod and endure to the end we will see the fruition of the blessings that the Lord hasin store for us.

We have many more promises from God . After all are we not a covenant making people ? Mosaih 2:22 is a promise .

The blessings of God are put on this earth for all of His children to have .We do not have to qualify to receive them. They are ours. Guilt disqualifies us. Guilt prevents up from getting hold of what is our .
