Exorcism

OK. So there's other stuff on the site. With due respect, that doesn't tell me whether that "stuff" is of any higher quality than the things I expressed concern about. It's as though I said, "I found a pound of horse manure. I'm disinclined to explore further," and someone else saying in response, "Ahh, but there's much more on the site than simply horse manure. There's cow dung, and doggie do-do ..." Opinions on Internet sites are just like opinions expressed elsewhere, and opinions (wherever and however expressed) are like rear-ends: everybody has one, but some are better than others. ;)

You're so funny, I just wanted to see your reaction and boy, I was not disappointed. No, just kidding, I really learned alot on the podcast and it wasn't all bunk, I had never heard of this site. I eat up podcasts though, guess it's because I miss conversation "out loud". Edited by Tacenda

Self-proclaimed critical thinkers are like emo kids. Both should be lined up and shot for the benefit of eveyone who would otherwise be forced to interact with them.

If ever I am called upon to act professionally, I’m happy to think that there will be no shortage of people whose loss will be a distinct gain to society at large …

And if someday, it should happen, that a victim must be found,

I got a little list,

I got a little list

of society offenders who might well be underground

and who never would be missed,

they never would be missed

Like some so-called thinkers --

of whom nothing else is known.

Who seek out flaws in other’s words,

but never in their own.

The problem with self-proclaimed "critical thinkers" is that they are usually not.

They accept a kind of logical-positivism/scientism without questioning it. In fact, they actually beg the question by doing so- what they mean by "critical thinker" is one who accepts such a view without even knowing what it is.

If you are a "critical thinker" and now have to look up those terms, you will prove me right.

Assuming you're not allergic to actual books (and yes, that was another joke! ;)), the best treatment I've come across of the whole Hoffmann Affair is Richard Turley's Victims: The LDS Church and the Mark Hoffmann Case.

Last I made effort to find out how exorcism was come by as an LDS member from my home teacher; he asked the Bishop, and the Bishop told him to have me cast out my own Demons.  Scripture says that some come out hard and require much fasting and prayer.

I'm sure there is reference in the Church Handbook of instruction but requires Bishop or higher authority to reveal it to you.

Newer endorsed manuals are not to be found online last I checked.

If I remember correctly it was more widely available to maybe being taught in early Priesthood manuals.

I searched the Internet and came to the conclusion that Medicine frowns on it's practice and maybe influenced the powers that be to force people [leave them no options until Medical routes are exhausted] to drugs and Psychiatric therapy before permission would be granted to try the exorcism way.   There drugs never worked for me but rather seemed as if the disease they said I had suddenly became manifest whereas it was not there before. I kind of wonder if they aren't the workings of a secret combination infiltrating the fabric of all society with Churches not being exempt through F------l R-----e & I-S controls that come through C--------e entanglement.  And corruption!

Read Benson's talks on the matter!

Study the gospel and live righteously are safeguards.  Sin opens the door!  Repenting closes the door!

Seems like you are scratching an itch here and not doing appropriately to heal the affliction.

Ask the correct people and it might make a difference?!?
