About the Nephites, you mean? Joseph said a lot about the Nephites. What are you asking about specifically?

Is English not your first language?

(not trying to offend. It's just that your sentence structure is a little off and knowing whether or not you speak fluent English will help us answer your questions better).

It would help to answer him or her.

We don't believe that the Book of Mormon is Joseph Smith writing about the Nephites, or the exact people in the Book of Mormon. All Joseph Smith did is translate the record he received, which is parts of several records about various ancient peoples in the Americas.

Welcome to the board. As others have said your comment is confusing so that it appears you may speak English as a second language though it could be you were just in a hurry typing on a small phone and forgot to add a few words that would make your questions clear.

I don't know if you are asking if you need to read the book daily or that you do. Here is a link where you can select the language that you want: http://www.lds.org/l...ton,ukr,vie,zho

After that, it will take you to the scriptures in that language. Reading the introductory sections may help your understanding.

-------

Depending on the language you may be able to make use of other resources as well, including the search function.

There may be someone on this board who speaks your native language (I've seen Spanish, Russian, German, Hebrew speakers so far) if the way you wrote your post isn't because you were just in a hurry but are a nonEnglish speaker or you can go to http://mormon.org/chat and ask to 'chat' with a missionary in your native language.

I need a piece of this book. Can anyone explain to me what Joseph Smith meant about the Nephi??

Hi Mormonman,

The Book of Mormon explains about the Nephites. If you don't have a copy, you can contact the Church, and they will send you a copy. You can request one here: http://mormon.org/free-book-of-mormon. I believe you can request a copy in whatever language you like.

In brief, the Nephites and Lamanites were descendants of a small group of people who travelled from Jerusalem in about 600 B.C.E. to the Americas, where they settled. The Book of Mormon talks about that voyage, and about some of their experiences over the next 1000 years in the New World.

Good luck!

Good point...I am always amused when people say JS said " " and it is from the BoM.
