Last Mircale Performed By J. Smith

Define miracle, but I think it could be easily said that by his death saving the lives of others in the room was a miracle. John taylor and everyone else who was saved. Another take on the last miracle could be the passing on of priesthood ordinances before he left nauvoo. Or his last miracle being the prediction of his own death before leaving Nauvoo.

Prophesying to Dan Jones the night before that he would serve in Wales.

I know a fulfilled prophesy probably does not count as a miracle.

I was thinking more along the lines of the promised fruit of a Spirit-filled believer:

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16)

Well, if by miracle you mean: "An extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers," I'm unaware of any miracles performed by Joseph Smith.

It's a silly question.

I personally have seen miracles performed through the keys he restored. Of course I am sure those don't count.

Disagree. Jesus said to judge a tree by its fruit and I am addressing the fruit of J.Smith. Jesus also promised power by the faithful, sooooooo list the last one and date it. We'll see if it coincides with his dabbling in temporal matters when he was commanded not to.

sooooooo list the last one and date it. . .

Nevermind the last one, can someone name anything that Joseph Smith did that qualifies as a "miracle?" (no, I'm not being difficult. I just didn't know he performed miracles)

It is a legit question I'm not sure has been addressed before. One of the alleged unique features of Mormonism back then was the Holy Spirit. In several letters J.Smith wrote in detail about Mormonism and he never mentioned priesthood once. (Letter to Pres. Van Buren for one example.) What made Mormonism different J.Smith claimed was the Holy Spirit, that one must be called by it.

Being central as he claimed, many reports spread abroad of miracles by Mormons, including the speaking in tongues. Far as I know, J. Smith never spoke in tongues, but I believe David Whitmer did (not to compare).

In that environment where converts literally traveled hundreds and thousands of miles after first obtaining a witness of the Book of Mormon, the arrived with great hopes, faith, and expectation - which are precisely the requirements for things like healings. Why J.Smith was not seizing those opportunities daily if not weekly or monthly is a mystery and part of the reason for the OP.

All the elements were there, why are they sparse??

You are baiting.
