Yes, Isaiah 22:23-25, which I like to compare with de Santillana & von Dechend, Hamlet's Mill, 123, and passim, who observe that the return of the rule of Kronos-Saturn (as described by Virgil’s Fourth Eclogue, just before Christ), under the sign of Pisces and Virgo, took place at the birth of Jesus, it must be noted that Saturn is to be identified as the Lord and Pivot of the Mill of the Gods, i.e., he is Polaris, and Polaris is none other than the “north nail” or “World Nail.” Saturn is to be identified as Yahweh/Jesus the Messiah, who is there the Son of God, and whose crucifixion is symbolized by signs familiar to every Christian. That he should also be the central peg of the turning mill of time and destiny, and the way into and out of the watery abyss of death and hell is actually entirely appropriate.

Did you know there are Saturn stones on the SLC temple ?

The key there is that they are often mistaken for sun stones- a circle- which of course is made with a compass around a pivot point.

I find it fascinating that the Foundation of the World -- note the "building a house" language -- is so often likened in scripture to measuring, ie overlaying a template upon preexisting chaos. It's not that the Gods necessarily created the physical stuff of this planet from scratch; instead, they found it waste and void, Gardened it, and bestowed upon it an Endowment of Intelligences drawn from their fund in the Treasury of Light.

The Creation of our "flat-earth" is the institution of the cosmological framework pivoting around the planet, in which the summer and winter solstices and the vernal and autumnal equinoxes are the flat Square inscribed within the Circle of the ecliptic. The entire history of human society is predicated on the organization -- the Foundation, the Colonization -- of this Calendar, which points to the Unchanging Star at the Center of the sky. The Anointed One inducts us into a New Age, a New World, according to the timetable agreed upon at the Foundation of the World-Ages at the original Endowment. Well, my mind just got potentially blown. This can't be true, can it? I really, really want it to be true and not a crank call, but it seems too awesome to be legit, and the amateur/sensationalistic webdesign does nothing to ease my trepidation. Anyone more knowledgeable than I care to comment? Hamblin? Smith? Peterson? Maklelan? Volgadon?

It would be too utterly cool if it turns out that the design of the First Temple itself is the ultimate record of anthropomorphic divinity (hermaphroditic, as if the Heavenly Father and Mother were united in the loving embrace of the hieros gamos to fuse their two genders into an androgynous whole) whom we enter into in order to be reborn.

Talk about "seeing God" when visiting a Temple! Like da Vinci's Vitruvian Man Squaring the Circle, or the Hindu Temples hiding the mahapurusha ("Cosmic Man") in the mandala governing the floor plan surrounding the Garbhagriha, the bridal-chamber-like Womb House Holy of Holies where only consecrated Priests are worthy to enter. The microcosm is the macrocosm, dudes. As above, so below.

First, the bad news in a good way. The article is bunk.

The good news is that there are indeed anthropomorphic aspects to the temple, or at least that is how many interpreters saw it. I'm not a Raphael Patai fan, but his "Man and the Temple" contains useful information in the chapter entitled "Symbolism and Function." One of the sources referenced, the medieval Midrash Tadshe, connects the temple both to the cosmos and to the human body. Jachin represents the moon, Boaz the sun and both pillars represent the eyes. "Just as the eyes are high and are placed in the head, even so were these two pillars high and thick." Bereshit Rabbathi relates a conversation between God and Moses.

I know that the Tabernacle was not Solomon's Temple, but the idea is similar. "In the hour when the Holy One blessed be He said to Moses, Make me a temple, Moses said, How shall I know how to make it? The Holy One blessed be He said, Do not get frightened; just as I created the world and your body, even so will you make the Tabernacle." There are other, similar sources which go into great detail on the corresponding elements, but this statement from the Midrash Tanhuma should suffice. "The Temple corresponds to the whole world and to the creation of man who is a small world."

I like humans. Anyone who's read my posts on this forum knows that anthropomorphism is a hobby-horse of mine. Anything that might help to contribute to people seeing something divine in each other's primate bodies is a Good Thing in my book.
