In regards to Catholics, we can attend other religious services but are required still to go to Mass as well. I'm wondering if Mormons have a similiar requirement. Edited April 11, 2012 by blueadept
Freedom Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Members are free to worship on the Sabbath however they feel appropriate. I look for opportunities to attend other religious worship services, I find it enriches me and provides a different perspective on the nature of God that I might be missing.

It's a wonderful opportunity for our kids to learn about and develop a respect for other faiths, which is something really important to me. I believe that God is pleased when we find opportunities to unite with people outside our faith, since they are all His children too, and the LDS church does not hold a monopoly on truth and goodness. 2

Are you afraid of making a mistake being a new member of the LDS church? Relax a bit - God has blessed you with sense and the Gift of the Holy Ghost. You can govern yourself without getting into trouble with God or the church.
