Video Gone Viral: Jesus Vs. Religion

I showed you the verses, you called them an esoteric interpretation, I disagreed.

Actually Jeff, I never said your interpretation was esocteric or that any verses were esoteric. I wrote "So you are equating withholding esoteric teachings with 'avoiding' the unrepentant."

This was a reference to the esoteric teachings of the Savior..

You really should read my posts more carefully.

Jeff there have been several occassions that you have been given a call for reference or retract your statement. You have refused to satisfy them and saying you don't have time is not an excuse. Either back up your statements or retract them or even better yet just don't say them at all. There will be no more warnings.

Fine, I believe the statements to be utterly true and I haven't had the oppotunity or time to look them up. I have seen how some have almost always chosen the side of those who attack the church and seen them justify all manner of contemptible things against the church. I am told I must back them up "now" which is difficult to do with an ipad.

So I retract the statementsI made regarding California Boy's disservice to the Lord's Church. I cannot prove them at the moment and if the issue comes up again, I will illustrate it at that time.

Perhaps, given time contraints, I should make more time. But I will also state that my scriptural references are much more clear than your interpretation of other scriptures, and when you combine it with the yet unanswered question as to why he didn't spend more time with the Pharisees and Sadduccees (and others) who obviously were in greater need of repentance than those who sinned and wished to repent (a question I asked that went unanswered scripturally or otherwise), it would seem the context more accurately portrays a Christ with limited time choosing not to cast he pearls before swine.

Jeff,

Your question went unanswered because. like many of your posts (and I dare you to call for a CFR because I do have time today), it was insulting.

You actually insinuated that I was berating the Savior.

Jeff this is not a retraction of your statement. You can not say you think something is utterly true but just don't have the time to look up or you would be right. That is not a retraction. A retraction is stating that the statements you made are utterly false. It is like saying I repent for what I did wrong, but I did nothing wrong. I am still waiting for you to admit openly that you completely made up what you stated to be true and there is absolutely no basis for the statements you made.

It is now day 3. Still waiting for your CFR. We have heard a lot of excuses, but still not a single post that I have EVER done what you claim was common. You may think it is not important, but when anyone makes slanderous statements about me, then it is important to me. I will continue to post what you need to respond to until I get a complete apology from you admitting your erronous statement you made about me.

This is your statement you made about me.

we also know you disdain and hate the church for its existence, you have often issued diatribes calling the church, its doctrines, and its prophets evil, terrible people.

And this was my call for a CFR

I have NEVER felt that way about the church. In fact I have often stated on this very form that I have no problem with the church. I encourage those that find faith and strength in the church to stay active and involved. And If you are directing that comment to me I CERTAINLY WANT A CFR ON THAT POINT. If not, you are BOUND by the rules of this board to issue an apology. I have posted 1,129 times. So you got a lot of posts you can use. So start digging or APOLOGIZE.

You have been provided a link on how to search my posts. You have still yet to provide ANY evidence that I have ever made such comments about the Mormon church or it's leaders. Jeff, I am not going to let this go. In fact, I am going to post statements I HAVE made about the Mormon church and it's leaders using the same search function that was provided to you. This is from a post I made on December 15, 2011

Despite how others try to paint me as, I respect the Mormon church. I encourage my children to remain active in the church. And you will not be able to find any post I have ever written to discourage anyone from being a Mormon. Of course you will find many posts by me where I disagree with the actions of the church. I don't think the church leaders KNOW the will of God. I think they decide most things by committee. And I have to say, I seem to be more disappointed when I feel the church is being deceptive then I did when I was more active in the church.

Now does that sound like someone who has "often issued diatribes calling the church, its doctrines, and its prophets evil, terrible people" Jeff, I am not going to let this CFR go like so many I have asked from you. I am going to post a demand for a CFR from you each day on this thread until you APOLOGIZE and acknowledge that you falsely characterized me, my beliefs, and my behavior. This is day two. The longer you do not respond the more it tarnishes your own integrity and truthfulness. It reflects an attitude you have towards me and other posters that you have made similar smear statements against. Step up to the plate Jeff. We are all waiting.

Another post for you to read I found from the search engine you were provided to locate my posts. I actually started this thread. I posted this comment on December 22

American Idol runner-up David Archuleta broke down in tears as he revealed his plans to take a break from his singing career to serve a two-year proselytizing mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Here is the linkhttp://www.dailymail...o=feeds-newsxml

I congratulate him for making this courageous decision. It must be tough to risk loosing his budding musical career. But his conviction and faith in the church compels him to do what other famous entertainers and sports figures have chosen not to do. So two big thumbs up to him.

Now does that post sound like it is coming from someone"we also know you disdain and hate the church for its existence, you have often issued diatribes calling the church, its doctrines, and its prophets evil, terrible people"

OK Jeff. we are still waiting. You are on.

The insinuation was your interpretation of events. The charge you made and request for scriptures asking me to show a specific item, I did.

Poster suspended.

For those interested, the injunction against casting pearls before swine or giving meat to dogs was not about avoiding "sinners". It was a warning about sharing the sacred things which (according to the JST) we ourselves, are also unable to bear.

“For the world cannot receive that which ye, yourselves, are not able to bear; wherefore ye shall not give your pearls unto them, lest they turn again and rend you” (JST, Matt. 7:9–11).

Here are the words of Elder D. Todd Christophersen on the matter:

Always remember, as holiness grows within and you are entrusted with greater knowledge and understanding, you must treat these things with care. The Lord said, “That which cometh from above is sacred, and must be spoken with care, and by constraint of the Spirit” (D&C 63:64). He also commanded that we must not cast pearls before swine or give that which is holy to dogs (see 3 Ne. 14:6; D&C 41:6), meaning sacred things should not be discussed with those who are not prepared to appreciate their value. Oh, I know what he means, don't fret. I rather agree with him to a point, and he says it so poetically (rather, rap-poetically). But his use of the term "religion" suggests something that he is actually not saying. In my humble opinion.

I will agree here. After listening to it again several times, I believe that religion is misused. What other term could be used in place so that the poem makes more sense?
