We should have the opportunity to go to temple square at Christmas time and admire a large statue of both mothers of Jesus. They should let us sit in a room and ponder the meaning of her while beautiful music plays in the background. It is amazing that Jesus was born. It was also amazing that a woman bore him into the world. Both of those things should be celebrated. We are so afraid of looking like the Greeks but this is truly what we have. Many Gods that each bring their own part of the story to us.Perhaps it is because God told us who we are to pray to (the Father) and to nobody else. As for our honoring our heavenly mother, we do (so consig's post of the hymn "O My Father" perhaps the most inspiring hymn in the Church. But I do think there is a reason why we do not celebrate "gods many and Lords many" and that is to us their is one God the Father and one Lord Jesus Christ.

We can spin this around and around but the fact of the matter is, there are at least two Gods we worship: Jesus and HF. I know, we worship HF through Jesus. The fact is, we worship two Gods maybe 3. Note I define worship as "Show reverence and adoration for (a deity); honor with religious rites."So if we are okay with worshiping 2 (or 3) Gods, why not 3 (or 4)? Is it really that big a deal?

It's a word that doesn't make much sense to me. I mean, if someone asked me, "Do you worship God?" obviously my answer is "Yes." But what is the etymology of the word 'worship' anyway? I'm thinking in the past, it also had something to do with progression more than just an awestruck or obeisance emotion. My relationship with my Father in heaven is that of daughter, so I don't really think of worship when I think of myself as a daughter. For Jesus Christ, I am a disciple, a follower. And I have a covenant relationship with all three members of the Godhead. There is no explicitly stated Mother in heaven in the words of the bindings or sealings (covenants). Prayer is related to covenants and sealings.

When I have talked to him, he talks back.Never had a purpose (yet?) to speak to the Holy Ghost other than the order of receiving answers from my Father in heaven which are carried by the Holy Ghost, of course.My point is that there are lots of godly people we don't pray to. The reason is not about the person, it's about the purpose of prayer. As I understand it. I prayed to a heavenly goddess and received an answer as clear as the most powerful answers to all the prayers in my whole life.That's wonderful .I don't pray or speak to my/a heavenly Mother, mainly because I don't know who she nor have been taught who she is nor have had the desire to learn (yet). I have other things on my mind. If you are getting answers, maybe it is because you are seeking. However, my conception of God (at this time) doesn't lead me to believe (at this point) that I'm missing anything (for myself). For example, I don't go to the bishop's wife with my confessions. Yes, the bishop is married, but his wife has no stewardship over me in the organization of the ward. On the other hand, if I require some compassionate service or know of someone who does, I apply this to the Relief Society President of the ward. She and the bishop are not married (another type of organization) but he is the father of the ward and she is the mother of the ward.I have been introduced to my Father in heaven through my covenants and I have been taught my relationship to him. No one has introduced me to my Mother in heaven in a similar manner, nor taught me my relationship to her other than to say that in "heaven" are marriages and families. The Godhead is a presidency over this earth and the progression of mortality. I do not know if our/a Mother in heaven has any covenant capacity with this. Maybe she does. It's something I don't know yet.She knows where I am and she can say something to me if she wants.

Thankfully his episodes are very rare...which is probably why he hasn't learned how to deal with them too effectively yet.

If I claim to believe in Him, and I do, then I cannot blatantly disregard what He says and still be true to that belief.

I don't think that She is the One Who will brake heavenly law. She wants you to obey your Father's law: pray to Father in the name of Jesus Christ.You could feel Holy Ghost's presence when you were thinking about HM, and you thought it was Her presence.Just think about. Will She break the law? Does She want you to break the law? She wants you to obey the Father. It is great that you love Her and think about Her. It is great if you talk to Her(about your feelings). But if you want to know more about Her, do it the way She wants you to do. She wants you to follow Jesus. She wants you to pray to Father.
