Scott Lloyd Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Funny...honestly, I'm not even sure what I did to draw that kind of fire...oh well.Don't you know? It was for having the audacity to suggest that someone can't expect to come on this board to make weak arguments and present tenuous evidence about Church history and have them remain unchallenged. How dare you?

O-Brother Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 indignation - Definition [?n?d?g-n??sh?n](n.) Anger aroused by something unjust, mean, or unworthy. See synonyms at anger Source: dictionary.comIn the context of brother Holland's memorable speech, there is really no need to interpret the word "anger" as something negative. Psalms 7:11 God is a righteous judge, a God who expresses his wrath every day. Having said, I think what I observed is true but I should have worded it as "righteously indignant" as his speech and gesturing caught our attention as being emotionally elevated which can be normal when moved upon by the Spirit. He spoke strongly and with conviction which came across to me as 'anger' but not the type of anger that most of us would associate as being something negative. I hope that clarifies my observation. I used the wrong word.
