The Nehor Posted July 9, 2025 Posted July 9, 2025 I think the weirdest Three Nephites story I have heard was that three men showed up at the Alamo right before it fell. No one knew who they were but journal entries said they somehow got in and no one had seen them and went around telling everyone they were doing a great work and what they were doing would lead to victory. Then they vanished before the battle. Sadly it was all made up.

Tony uk Posted July 9, 2025 Posted July 9, 2025 If the three Nephite are in physical human form. The maybe it is part of God's plan for them not to be recognised as the Nephite. I think someone mentioned in a previous post, Johnathan from the TV series, Highway to Heaven. Possible or not, that this could be nearer to the truth, or not. In effect people guiding people to improve their lives and situations. Something of this nature could have been for centuries, but Hidden from ordinary people. 1

Hoorah for journals and someone actually looking at sources! (I have no issues with the idea that the 3 nephites could show up to try to bring some peace to people in a situation that is for them a lost cause but which could bring good for others down the road. But when research options and opportunities exist lets lean into those and not just pass on everything we hear!) 2

The more I learn the less I feel the Texas War of Independence was a good movement so not sure the cause was good. The ramifications of the war might have brought more good overall but that is hard to measure. 1

But I agree that this is the kind of thing where goodness can only be measured by God. You’d have to be able to see what would have been without the war to know if the cost was worth it. 2
