  1. All of this is all well and good, but ... can anybody tell me how to contact Delta Airlines? (Seriously, thanks for all of your hard work, @Nemesis)
  2. Eh, wot? Our inveterate Court Watchers have not scooped the much-more-casual me? What's up wit dat?!!! https://www.deseret.com/utah/2025/07/25/judge-orders-6th-and-7th-life-sentences-for-lori-vallow-daybell/ (Yeah, I know! Vallow fatigue!)
  3. I'm fine. I'm touched, deeply, by your [no-doubt-genuine and deeply-heartfelt] concern, but it isn't necessary, I assure you. Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the language lesson. I found it invaluable. How does the rest of the world possibly live without your unquestionable brilliance? It's positively baffling, really! Ah, well ... back to lurking ... or ignoring the Board entirely (which ... Ahem! ... includes you, in case you're, y'know, wondering about that! ) Just sayin'!
  5. I'm late to the party, and I haven't been following the thread slavishly, so forgive me if this already has been addressed. I have no specific comment on what, if anything, should be done regarding Latter-day Saints who are members of the Church who engage in practices [and who are involved in relationships] that are contrary to the teachings of the Church. That said, I'm confused: Did this bishop, in anything other than the usual "whom-the-Lord-calls-the-Lord-qualifies" sense, qualify for the position? Did he apply for it? Did he submit a resume? Was he subjected to a competitive hiring process? If the answer to all of these questions is, "No," then why is he talking about "resigning [his] position," as though he did take all of those steps to get that position?
  6. Don't take the character limit personally. I wouldn't be surprised (but, Alas!, I lack the technical know-how to be certain) that a character limit was one of the measures put in place to thwart things such as the Giant Spam Attack we had recently.
  7. @Nemesis How many Nemeses are there? Does "he" "contain multitudes"? Is his real name "Legion," for "[he is] many"? In all seriousness, @Calm, yes, I know my levity is probably misplaced because you're expressing concern for a friend. I apologize and repent. And, @Nemesis, thanks for clearing out all of the spam. (By the way, can anybody tell me what the best way to contact Southwest Airlines is? )
  8. Buuuut, aaaaanywaaaaaay ... as long as we're on the [non-] subject, does anybody know how to contact Delta Airlines to change my reservation?
  9. There is. Ironically (and you would never guess this!) It's Mormon Dialogue and Discussion!
  10. Nah! The real Joseph Smith looks like Paul Wuthrich! 😆😁
  11. Could all of the "non-spam," "actually-related-to-the-Board's-purpose" topics be pinned, so they're the Board's top results and we don't have to wade through thousands of pounds of Spam(tm) to find them? Just curious. Thanks.
  12. 195th Annual General Conference Saturday Morning Session, April 5, 2025 President Jeffrey R. Holland, Acting President of the Twelve "Verily I say unto you, except ye become converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Whosoever shall humble himself as a little child shall be greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven" "Behold your little ones" [Fire from Heaven encircled them] What prompted it? Purity, innocence, humility "Vain imaginations" and "pride of the children of men" characterize the great and spacious building of Lehi's dream Zoramites: "They pray unto thee with their mouths, but their hearts are lifted up" Richard L. Evans: "We claim to be Christians, but we don't follow Him ... We admire Him, but we don't worship Him" Do we think of God, other than using His name in profanity Purity, trust, character Easton had longed to pass the Sacrament for as long as he could remember, but he has Ulrich Progressive Muscular Dystrophy; He wanted to "present the sacred emblems" to his father, the Bishop, but he didn't want assistance He pulled his legs up each step of the stand: Easton's smile may have said, "I have glorified my father, and I have finished the work he gave me to do" In his youth, Joseph saw what he said he saw, and communed with the individuals with whom he said he communed
