I'll see how it goes and report back. Until recently, my wife and I always sat in the last row in the overflow (her preference) and I usually had my tablet out to use the hymn app (I like switching to German for certain hymns), and look up scripture during the meeting, as talks were being given. During the Sacrament I would use my tablet to read scripture (especially D&C 19) when I wasn't being introspective about the ordinance. I got pretty good at using the features of the Library app to switch between scriptures, and so on. This was really useful during Sunday School when I would have tabs open for the CFM of the week, the scriptures referenced in the lesson, and so on and so forth. I'd make notes on what occurred to me about the lesson, and the tech turned the lessons into a gospel extravaganza. As an old software developer I've lived with and used tech on a daily basis for decades. I love tools, even software tools. It doesn't distract me -- but I realize this isn't the case for everyone. And now I sit on the stand because they stuck me in the bishopric. Astonishing, since I've tried for years to not look like a leader (and I'm definitely out of my comfort zone). Anyway, I don't want to look like I'm playing with my devices, so all the sacrament meeting long I only use a device for hymns, since it's obvious then that I'm using it for singing. No more easy street for Stargazer. Must look proper. Sigh. 2
