FAIR Conference 2024

For those thinking or planning on attending this year, early bird pricing is good till May 1st (sorry for being a bit slow getting this up here, missed it completely last year iirc).

We have gone back to two days to make it easier to attend, but have multiple tracks (if I understand correctly) to cover the large number of topics.

I don’t have any other details yet…you may want to use social media as the more efficient way to track announcements.

Last years looked really interesting. One day I might have to go!

Tell me if you ever do. That might even get me up to SL myself.

Just learned it’s free parking, though I don’t know if it’s abundant.  Looks like there is quite a bit north of the building.

Early bird is almost over.

If you receive our emails, you should have the schedule of speakers. For some reason, I didn’t get one, so am seeing if I can get it to post.

I have I think changed my primary email to the present one, after I was in active communication with FAIR.  Not sure if I can fix it by reviving my old email.

Is there maybe a link to get me better in touch w/ Fair?  I mean I am sure there is but- your help could save me a lot of time which is now very precious to me.   I am working with another LDS website as well, which is a bit more "philosophical" than FAIR.

But if YOU didn't get it yet, with your direct connections, it would be great if you could just post it here and I will dig through it, hopefully saving you time.  You are amazing in your research ability!  Thanks!

is there any kind of online-only attendance available? Or is that available only after the event?

ETA: Whoops, I think that's what the Main Stage Streaming Pass is for, right?

Yes, no, it’s available beforehand.  Check with the ticket sales as my memory is poor and I am off to do something else. :)

LaJean Carruth is speaking again. I love her talks of finding interesting ‘variations’ on the original sermons. ’

This page has the conference schedule of talks…

https://www.valiantconf.com/?

There are 5 talks, 3 on Thursday and 2 on Friday, where you can choose either the “Insight” (the usual FAIR type of presentation) or the “Inspire” session.  These are in the afternoon.  The rest of the talks are “General Session”.

@Calm, I am unsure how to get to the streams. Do you know? Or will they only be available after the conference?

Yes, after the live streams, it takes a bit to get the recorded ones online iirc.  I will ask…but they will be busy packing up and traveling, so may be Monday before I get an answer.

Sorry! It finally occurred my cramped brain that I could put the question to FAIR, so I did. Trevor Holyoak responded to say the videos will be available on Whova in a few days.
