Yeah, its getting scary to think about your once young brother getting older and will die. It just seems unreal.

My brother, who was an addict and alcoholic, died a couple of years ago. While it wasn't easy I trust that he is in the Lord's hands now.

My half brother passed away last night, I did not know him well, as his life (sort of like my step brother) was life filled with hardcore drinking, and hardcore drugs. Yet, it is still a loss, and he was still my brother.

I pray God has saved his eternal soul, as I would hope he will save my own.

I too have a brother that is an alcoholic and dying of liver failure. He recently fell off the wagon for the zillionth time. He's 8 years younger and it feels like such a hopeless situation. Sorry about both your brothers. 💔

This brother, told all of us (his family) that he was 21 days sober. So he either had a relapse, and used again, or the sudden “cold turkey”, could have killed him. It can be very dangerous to go “cold turkey”, without a doctor’s guidance. He was only 49 years of age, his issues had already cost him any relationship with his three daughters.
