Liz Harris. Back in February, she was part of a joint Elections committee (consisting of the elections committees of both the House and the Senate), and she invited a guest to testify. That guest droned on with wild conspiracy theories about the Sinaloa Drug Cartel, and how various powerful people and institutions in Arizona are helping to launder money for the cartel (including the Governor, the Speaker of the House, and others). Among her accusations, she includes the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as being "integral" to those cartel money laundering schemes. Turns out, inviting a crazy loon to testify in front of your committee, and allowing said loon to level baseless accusations against your colleagues is an offense worthy of expulsion. I don't want to start a political discussion (though I just did), so I'm just focusing on the whole Mormon-Church-is-laundering-money-for-the-cartels angle of this story. Pretty crazy, no? Alas, it seems the Danite influences are less strong in AZ than in UT. Or more likely Rep. Liz Harris caught them unawares (slacker Danites, I'm certain some harsh penalties will be meted out) and she'll soon know the spidery influences of their power as her life crumbles before her. 🤪
