Stargazer Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 (edited) 1st Lieutenant? Unless things have changed, chaplains are normally commissioned as captains as their first rank. Just like physicians and dentists. But it's the Air Force, which does things oddly, in my humble opinion as an Army veteran. Nevertheless, this is quite noteworthy and encouraging to me.
