jkwilliams Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 (edited) Thought some of you might enjoy this video of the Estaca Los Andes, El Alto, Bolivia, choir singing "Did You Think to Pray?" in Spanish and Aymara. It's filmed in the Bolivian Altiplano and on the shores of Lake Titicaca. https://fb.watch/5-6LQYRiGL/ Edited June 8, 2021 by jkwilliams 3

As far as I know, they are translations of the US English hymnal, which from the early days has derived significantly from Protestant hymns. Off the top my head, there are at least a couple of Catholic hymns: "Be Still, My Soul," "Faith of Our Fathers," and I'm sure others.

My Spanish is practically nonexistent, and Aymara is Greek to me, but the message of the song comes through anyway! Was wondering if you learned any Aymara on your mission?
