Still no change, which is peculiar as we have Stake Conference coming up in 2 weeks and there is a General Authority coming, Elder Mattress, so who will be attending this leadership meetings is beyond me. What the current stake leaders are waiting for is anybody's guess. It's the 5th sunday coming up, and the last 3 or 4 5th sundays the Bishopric was supposed to teach but they kept blowing it off and apparently they are trying to do it again for this weekend so I said forget it, you're the chief cheese's around here, you teach

Are the High Priests still allowed to sleep in church, 'cause that would be a deal breaker in my ward ?

If all the High Priests who sleep in church were laid end to end, they would be much more comfortable.

We must have an unusual ward. Stake Presidency came, released, called, and set apart leaders. Nobody was grumpyCurrent HP group leader was called as quorum president with two elders as counselors. The previous EQ President is having some serious health problems. Business went on as usual with a much larger circle which seemed a bit awkward and unwieldy to me.

I made the comment that it was pretty much a silent and bloodless coup, and that the elders should learn a lesson about underestimating the old coots.

In the meantime, the Old F——— Illiterary Book Group will continue to meet for lunch at the Mall food court on the last Friday of the month. We will have a fashion show this week and then get some food. Anyone who wants to discuss a book he has read will be asked to leave.
