Is Polygamy Inherently Sexist?

I have more to say, but this will have to do for now.

The only other thing I want to say is that I think you make a lot of really good points as to why someone (both men and women) should think twice, or more like three, or four times before entering such a challenging dynamic.  I can agree that there are greater potential risks and burdens in polygamy for all involved.  If, however, each person can see value in it, and are willing to accept the risks and understand the roles of each partner, and desire to participate in polygamy instead of monogamy, more power to them.

I would never want to be a firefighter for example, it is risky and extremely hard work with little pay and way too dangerous for my tastes, but some people find value in it and are willing to take the risks.  They understand that it is riskier work with less pay than easier jobs, but if they find value in choosing that kind of work, who am I to say "you shouldn't do that, that is unequal and unfair compared to other forms of work."
