Cause I know stuff. Believe what you want, I'm not declaring it on every page and we aren't even talking about it anymore. He is below the poverty line. There.

You made the claim of a high paying income. Now you dodge the CFR.  But the CFR stands.  Document the claims. What is a high paying income. What is and was Dehlin's income?  CFR.

This is how CFRs work, guys. You either have to document or back off. A CFR is so that we don't endlessly recycle the same unsubstantiated claim. I'm not going to document it. I said that. I haven't repeated it. I'm not going to repeat it. I've already withdrawn it for your satisfaction. See how that works?

CFR that Dehlin is "below the poverty line". :)

FYI... Dehlin's salary is posted on the Open Stories Foundation website (as are all the financials for OSF).  His salary is $75k per year beginning in 2016.  IOW, somewhere higher than the "poverty line" and lower than an LDS general authority.

You are such a bore Robert,  You have no desire to understand the people you interact with. You have such a deep seated need to be right and defend your own religious and personal views to the point you have to just attack and marginalize others. I used to think you were someone who could be broad and open and have dialogue with. I see I was wrong.  But I can tell you I say noting out of bitterness or anger. I seek. I try to dialogue. But I Know you and others of your ilk need to brans people like me as such.

Stay in your bubble. It is not worth it to try to be reasonable with dogmatic demagogues.

It is such a bore to abide by scholarly principles, Teancum.  That is true, and perhaps why you so diligently avoid substantive, scholarly discussion.  Instead you project your own shortcoming onto others.  Wouldn't it be worth a try to attempt to engage in real give and take instead of always attacking?  You might even find yourself agreeing with others on science and logic from time to time.  No more zero sum game.  B:)

Teancum, that isn't like you to be cruel.

RP, I'll say whatever you want. If you want to fight, pick a topic I care about. You don't like me saying he makes a good salary, you don't like me joking he is under the poverty line. You just supply the amount that will make you happy and I'll back ya up.

Juliann - Note the "smiley" that followed my comment about the poverty line.  I am not trying to fight.

For the record, I didn't mind you saying he had a good paying job.  I didn't ask you to CFR that.  I knew what his salary was.  Some would say it is good paying.  Some wouldn't.  And I got your joke about the poverty line.  I also thought your response to the CFR was funny.  But I was serious:  next time you are tempted to ask me for a CFR, just assume that my answer is the same as yours. :)

Fair enough, RP. But that means you can't use what you won't CFR again. So if you say it once, then drop it like I did, by all means  do what I did.

Depends on how much time he spends at it. He's got some sort of counseling practice on the side, doesn't he?  75 grand for part time work is a pretty sweet gig, especially if it's a hobby.

I don't know what his hourly breakdown is but given his production schedule for the podcast along with the traveling he does related to it, I'd guess that his counseling practice is the part time gig.

What was one of your posts to me?  Back at ya Robert.  But its not worth it. You have fallen into accusing anyone who disagrees with you as angry or on  the attack. I see you doing it to others.  So sense you find me full of short comings and an angry attacker then I will work on not interacting with you.

I guess some of us just are not as wise, smart, scholarly and intellectual as you (seem to think) you are.  ;)

That's actually a lot lower than a typical $75k salary, which would normally include a health plan, dental plan, 401k plan, etc. It's like contract work, you have to pay for everything yourself.

Wrong, Teancum.  It has everything to do with sincerity.  You might try a little of that sometime.  Your anger and vitriol is no substitute for sincerity.

Even Dehlin once said that it did not include the insurance plan that was provided for his family on top of the salary.  Maybe that has changed. This is a base salary. Just like the GAs, there can be stipends.

More and more you prove my point. There was no vitriol in any of my posts.  Go for a walk or something Robert.  You need it.

Well maybe I am a high flyer but this does not seem like a high salary or an over the top amount.

Well thank you. Ok I will back off on this one.  You can see the Form 990 online and that will tell you what he makes.

And thank you for your gentle response. It is the epitome of the scripture that says a soft answer turns away wrath.  :D

I don't consider $75k to be a high salary.  Even with a health insurance plan added to it.  But some might.

Estimated GA stipends of about $120k (I think that was the number) with a health plan, a car, and other benefits is getting closer to a high salary, IMO, but not quite there either.

It really depends on the cost of living where you live.
