I think it is great your stake is doing this. Oh yes, there is plenty a of help, with a couple of stake-level coordinators working with the other agencies and recruiting help. Our Relief Societies (stake and ward) have had a number of activities surrounding this, mostly putting relief supplies together. But ward members have also done things on their own (under the auspices of an agency), recruiting members to help move donated furniture into apartment, for example. Their efforts are done through social media and ward quorum and RS announcements. 1

There seems to be some confusion in my stake that we can only help officially within out stake boundaries. We have no refugees that live within our stake boundaries.

There is a big difference between helping and serving people and forming national security policies. I don't assume individual Mormons don't love and support gay people because of church policies. 1

I'm not sure of the regulations, but we are certainly helping refugees who are relocating to new lives within our stake boundaries, and also sending donations overseas. For all I know, more than one stake are working together, as we have with food drives, emergencies (in most cases going to other states and stakes) and so forth. 2
Calm Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 If someone is interested in getting their stake going on some projects (though I would recommend checking first that none are in place first), perhaps CV could pass on the stake reps involved and they can be contacted for ideas and people to refer one's own stake reps to if they seem to lack ideas or ambition. Anyone else who sees their stake as doing it right might volunteer as well....providing the contact info through PM though to avoid trolls.
Duncan Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 I know the women in our stake have a harvest of love or hands of helping or hearts of holiness or something where they make kits and stuff to give to needy people.
