That was back in the very early days of the internet, been married 18 years now. So online is do-able, even if its long distance. 2

Duncan Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 I'm going through this right now. In Aug of 1906 Pres. Joseph F. Smith toured Europe. In the Oct. 1920 GC the former MP of the Swiss/German Mission, Serge F. Ballif said that Pres. Smith had said that the day will come that Europe will be dotted with Temples. Then in 1955 Pres. Mckay made mention of what Pres. Smith had said during his trip that, " temples would be built in divers countries of the world. " Where did Pres. McKay get that? and then another source a German publication called Der Stern (with no listed author that I can see and it's in German) says that Pres. Smith said, “temples of God … will be erected in the divers countries of the earth, for the gospel must be spread over all the world, until the knowledge of God covers the earth as the waters the great depths," . Wait there's more. I checked Serge F. Ballif's journal entry for Aug 19, 1906 when Pres. Smith and company were in Bern and all he wrote that Pres. Smith talked about was "Bro. Smith spoke and made a fine talk on Love, Charity, liberty of Christ's plan and our love for the world"no mention about Temples. So , who or what do we believe what Pres. Smith said? I can see maybe the diary entry, at the time Pres. Ballif just didn't think it was all that noteworthy but when he spoke in conference 14 years later he did think it relevant, because by that time the Church had another Temple with 2 more on the go. I don't know who wrote the Der Stern article enough to account for that or how Pres. McKay would know what Pres. Smith said 49 years earlier, but somehow he knew?

Nope, motivated by not wanting to be alone anymore and also by stumbling across the LDS dating site. They gave a 2 week free trial and both my (then future) wife and I signed up the same day, met, decided we wanted to continue talking/dating, and cancelled our membership in the site before we ever had to pay for it.
