Speaking of amazing things that happen in fall time: I miss the Monarch Butterfly Migration. I recall lying on the ground and looking up into the Autumnal Oklahoma sky, and seeing it full of these beautiful insects--all headed to Mexico for the winter.

We have a couple that we call the Bickersons, I think they winter here. We live in a marina and they sit on top of one of the motor yachts and argue all day. Then they land on the metal roof of the covered slips and stomp around for hours. 2

Every year the No. 1 hole on the golf course is the favorite place for nesting for a small group of Canadian geese as they raise their gosslings... they all disappear after several weeks... only to reappear the next year... One thing I love about my area is the variety of wildlife... GG I love the seasons and what nature brings. Geese have been migrating for centuries. I am glad that we can witness this. I hope it continues. 1

I have lived and visited places all over the world, but there is no place like home. Although, Georgia is very hard in the Summer at my age now. Geese don't fly home much anymore, they just sit around schools and parks making big messes. 1
