Dedication is today! Whoo hoo! Performed by President Eyring.

I'm here covering the event, a beautiful temple,  the dedication was pretty amazing.   President Eyring is from this area so has a connection to the local people here.

Went through the open house tour a few weeks ago.  Beautiful temple!  And it's in a great location.  I like that they pay homage to the historical significance of Philly with the quill pens above the painting of Christ when you enter.  Independence Hall isn't far from the temple.

You know there was a time when President Hinkley's name was connected to every Temple. He either dedicated, or re-dedicated almost every Temple on the earth. That era has past...I really miss President Hinkley. :( But the Church must move forward, and this new Temple is beautiful. Each time  I see a new or old Temple at night with lights all around, it is always inspiring.

I grew up in the Philadelphia Stake (in the portion that is now the Valley Forge Stake), so this is also my temple.  I didn't make it to the open house :cray:but I hope to visit in a couple years.  Maybe with my husband and two youngest kids.

Temples are awesome. I hear back tomorrow on if I'll be working in the Mt. Timpanogas temple.

That is literally a 2 min drive from my house.  Pretty temple.
