Popular Post Daniel2 Posted June 16, 2016 Popular Post Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) Kudos to the Church for responding. Quote LDS leaders mourn 'shocking' Orlando terror attack, pray for victims, law enforcement By Tad Walch, Deseret News Published: Sunday, June 12 2016 1:10 p.m. MDT Updated: Sunday, June 12 2016 9:50 p.m. MDT Jermaine Towns, left, and Brandon Shuford, second from left, wait down the street from the scene of a shooting involving multiple fatalities at a nightclub in Orlando, Fla., Sunday, June 12, 2016. Towns said his brother was hiding in a bathroom at the time. Phelan M. Ebenhack, Associated Press The LDS Church released a statement Sunday afternoon mourning the terror attack in Orlando, which is being reported as the deadliest shooting attack in American history with 50 dead and 53 wounded. SALT LAKE CITY — LDS Church leaders are mourning and praying for the victims of a gunman who killed 50 and wounded 53 others in Orlando early Sunday morning in the deadliest shooting attack in U.S. history. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released the following statement Sunday afternoon: "With the rest of the nation, we mourn the tragic loss of life and serious injuries that occurred in Orlando this morning. We pray for the families and loved ones of the victims of this senseless shooting and pray they will be comforted and cared for as they seek to heal. Our prayers and support are also with community leaders and law enforcement officials as they continue to investigate this shocking crime." Authorities are investigating the attack on a gay nightclub as an act of terrorism, and officials said the death toll is likely to climb. I know more randomized comments have been made elsewhere on other threads, but I don't see that there's been a dedicated thread to it, and I wanted to give props to the Church for responding, in it's own right. Jeanne Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Now is a good time for all of us to somehow be a part of a solution. Let's vote..let's think with a compassionate conscience, and try to build a better USA for all.Kudos for religions that give love and understanding to that which is often misunderstood. 1

D It was horrorable, of course our Faith condemned it...had my daughter been one of the victims and the killer on the lose, I would be putting my many years of military and police training to work. They were Americians, killed on American soul...nothing else matters. Nothing! God bless them, their families and law enforcement everywhere who are the target of terror everywhere lately. God help us all if we do not address terror wherever it is. Far worse and equal is,done to gay people all over the world, especially in the Middle East.
VideoGameJunkie Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I see these events continuing to happen as the world gets more wicked.
Popular Post Bernard Gui Posted June 16, 2016 Popular Post Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) Murder is conceived in the heart. The only hope we have is to change hearts. The solution is found in the gospel of Jesus Christ, as is the balm for those hurt by this atrocity. Edited June 16, 2016 by Bernard Gui 6

rodheadlee Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 It's sad but it makes me angry. I guess God still has a lot of work to on me because I want to mess somebody up. I consider it an attack on our nation, not just the LGBT citizens. How many sleeper cells are out there? How many evil lone wolves? Here in Calif only the criminals are armed so we have a lot of soft targets. We had stake conference the day after and a 70 showed up.He said we should mourn and pray for the victims but these things would accelerate between now and the Lords return.
VideoGameJunkie Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I try not to pay attention to the news and life is so much happier.
thesometimesaint Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I try to keep an eye on these idiots. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
