However, if by pretending to be transgender, someone enters into a restroom in order to spy on someone (or assault), then that's what is unlawful. No different than any other sexual assault or "peeping Tom" type case. That is the problem toon, there is not standard to meet except the individual saying they see themselves as the opposite sex. There is not doctor that needs to verify, no independent body that is required to review each individual, the only hurdle is the individual saying they are transgender. This type of system opens the door for all kinds of mischief and abuse of all kinds. It is not logical, it is not considerate, it is not respectful; it is poorly conceived and designed. 1

Most Southren school districts have decided that what sex is listed on your birth certificate, that is the bathroom you (the student) must use. Our Nation is losing its way...makes me fear for those in my family that will be left behind. When I worked for a time with the Fulton County School system (largestest in the State) the biggest problem other than drugs, was students having sex in bathrooms of the beaten path. These things are just going lead more and more parents to home school.
Tacenda Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 http://kutv.com/news/local/transgender-supporters-say-utahs-lawsuit-on-transgender-bathrooms-could-backfire Is Utah doing what they did with SSM? http://fox13now.com/2016/05/25/lone-peak-high-graduate-returns-award-over-transgender-issues/ Is this going to cause Utah's lawsuit against Obama's administration to back fire like it did with SSM?
Jeanne Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Truth is..If I have to go...I don't really care where. Actually, I go from one end to the other on this issue. I hate change. But everyone matters. 1
carbon dioxide Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 (edited) I refuse to believe in the idea that gender is an "identity". I am a male regardless of what I might think I am or would want to be. As to bathrooms, I prefer single stall bathrooms. I think all public restrooms should be that way. I never do well using it while someone else is attempting to do theirs 4 feet away from me. Sometimes it results in a game of chicken and I give up without having done anything. Single occupancy restrooms rule. Edited May 27, 2016 by carbon dioxide

Isn't that such a double standard? and A child is more likely to be molested at church than in a transgender-friendly bathroom. Edited May 30, 2016 by TheSkepticChristian
thesometimesaint Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I have no idea as to his gun control ideas. Personally I'm neither a pro-gun nut nor an anti-gun nut. I am against having a nut behind the trigger. I've been in public family bathrooms, and single use ones(On airplanes). It is no big deal to me to simply shut and lock the door.

I am retired military and police, so I absolutly want background checks. I'm sorry, do you know me or I you? How do you make a leap from bathroom policy in schools to gun laws...or is it because I have a different view other than yourself gives you leave to attempt to insult me? It is crowed enough in my head, don't need anyone else in there.

Good! I am sorry, I assumed that because many of Republicans are against gun control. 11 minutes ago, Pa Pa said: How do you make a leap from bathroom policy in schools to gun laws because many who favor restroom control are against gun control. Also, where have I ever spoke of which party I am a member of? I am the grandfather of 7 granddaughters...that is where and how I view this issue.
