You do know she is a spoof right?

Of course. She comically destroys certain religious freedom arguments by showing how utterly ridiculous and stupid they are. You should watch her video addressing "traditional" marriage.

I did not find the approach clever or incisive.

Non Sequitur, and well poisoning. Christians have most abortions.

SEE http://reverbpress.com/religion/abortion-rates-highest-among-christians-according-stunning-survey-results/

Yep, an odd statistic but I do not find it surprising. I have a friend who works at an abortion clinic and she says she has seen two women from their protestors outside come in to use their services (one for their teenage daughter). One of them was right back on the protest line after it was over.

Roe v. Wade happened way too early in the national discussion on abortion and caused a strong overreaction against it. Imagine the chaos and backlash if the Supreme Court decision on gay marriage came a decade earlier.

This reminds me of Mormon's position during the last great war, when he disagreed with the Nephites but continued to assist them although he knew that it was futile. Christianity today is mostly in a state of idolatry (as the Nephites were) and there are bigots (especially evangelicals: the happy-clappies) among them; but because we (LDS) too are Christian, we must stand with Christianity against the onslaught of Satan and his plan to de-Christanize the world;  we stand with Christ and with Christianity in spite of the tares; we must continue to sow, the Lord of the Harvest will one day separate the real from the fake. Until that time, we press on!

"Like a mighty army, moves the Church of God; brothers [and sisters], we are treading where the saints have trod. We are not divided; all one body we: One in hope and doctrine, One in charity. Onward Christian soldiers! Marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before."

The mixing of politics and religion is the most deadly threat that has ever faced the world.

Politics and religion have been intertwined for most of the world's history.  It hasn't been until the last few centuries that religion has been separated from government.  Religion is now something that one can willingly choose.  That's the way it should be.

I put no time restraints on my claim. But hopefully we can see the artifice of both. ^_^
