I guess you don't believe Joseph Smith's account of the first vision where God, both the Father and the Son, quite powerfully speak in the first person? It seems to me in your view even God himself is somewhat unreal -- more of an idea than an actual being. Christ got the worst of human suffering, descending in superhuman agony and sorrow below ALL THINGS. And through his infinite and eternal suffering he now comprehends all things and has ascended above all things. After passing through this valley of mortal sorrows, God promises his children that no matter how horrific our ordeals,might be, he will heal us and give us eternal joy. But am I correct to assume you believe those who have experienced non-instructive suffering will never be relieved of their painful memories and traumas?

People have been having visions for thousands and thousands of years. God to me is very real. In fact, for a pantheist, the existence of God is a certainty - we don't take that on faith alone. First of all, the idea that suffering will eventually be relieved/healed does not solve the problem of evil. As to whether or not there is an afterlife where that will happen, I don't know. It would be nice, though.
