I would miss him if he were gone. He is still a devil's advocate, though, and I have nominated him as our official devil's advocate on this board. He reminds me of the well-played consiglieri in the Godfather saga, one of my favorite actors of all time.

Believe it or not..I have never got through the whole Godfather thing..kind of embarrassing.

Makes sense to me now. Administrators of message boards in my experience (administrator/moderator in two different forum types) get a choice of a standard board format, possibly for free, but always the more you want to customize your board, the more it costs. For example, the moderators have expressed, iirc, their dissatisfaction that name variations like ****enson get censored, but they understandably don't want to fork out the extra dough that would likely be required to personalize the censored words list.
Calm Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Also... Contributors no longer have the ability to close their own threads. The profile options are simpler in a couple of ways. It appears to me the latest upgrade to take care of the glitches that were preventing people from posting was to a simpler version, perhaps in hope there would be less glitching overall, perhaps because having the frills was getting expensive, perhaps because they didn't want to hassle with the complications, or for other reasons or combos of reasons.

The Contra code in your profile unlocked it. If you had used select start at the end it would have unlocked two player mode and you would be a mod. 1
