savedwheat Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Isaiah 46:9 "for I am God, and there is none else; I am God and there is none like me." Mark 12:32 "for there is one God; and there is none other but he." Nothing beside God. Just God before time and space. There is nothing added on here. "None else" means "none else".

None else refers to "no-one" not "nothing". You are the one with reading comprehension issues. As is evidenced by your reading of the Bible so incorrectly. 1

It might make more sense, from an LDS perspective, to say that there are four Gods intricately related to our Earth: Heavenly Father, Heavenly Mother, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, Regards, Jim

Ahab Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) Only one God but more than one person who is God. God in this sense thus refers to a kind of being. No other kind of being is like the kind of being we refer to as God. Any person who is God can say that about our kind of being in contrast to other kinds of beings. No other kind of being is like me. Apes and gorillas are kinda like me, a little bit, in some sense, but not really very much like me or anyone else who is the same kind of being I am. I am a child of our Father in heaven and more like him than any other kind of being there is and I am the way that I am because he made me like him. Edited January 30, 2016 by Ahab typo
JAHS Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 God can be singular or plural. Like the word deer. Its the only way to make sense of all the scriptures referring to God.
