Stone holm Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 So the photographs of Clive Bundy appear to have a card with Joseph Smith's image in them in his pocket. Has the Church made any kind of news release about this family's current exploits in Eastern Oregon?
Calm Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) Style is tooold. Looks like a founding father time period: http://www.trbimg.com/img-5358772f/turbine/la-ed-rancher-cliven-bundy-grazing-federal-land-20140424 Probably Jefferson with the declaration behind him. Add-on: It is a pocket sized version of the constitution. Edited January 4, 2016 by Calm 1
sheilauk Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 The Church has now made this statement: While the disagreement occurring in Oregon about the use of federal lands is not a Church matter, Church leaders strongly condemn the armed seizure of the facility and are deeply troubled by the reports that those who have seized the facility suggest that they are doing so based on scriptural principles. This armed occupation can in no way be justified on a scriptural basis. We are privileged to live in a nation where conflicts with government or private groups can — and should — be settled using peaceful means, according to the laws of the land. http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/church-responds-to-inquiries-regarding-oregon-armed-occupation 2
sunstoned Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 By invoking his religion in his public rants, Clive Bundy is not doing the church any favors. It is good that the church game out with this statement.
