Doctrine 612 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I saw a preview for this movie over 5 years ago, and now it is finally made.The preview looks like a mormon type movie( over dramatic) but I'll still go see it. ( faith promoting ).Anyone else hear about this movie.

I don't mind fictional stuff like Tennis Shoes, but when they have apparently combined it with doing missionary work or attempting to find the Jaredite Stones in order to prove the truth…well, the end of the story likely can only go one real way to be satisfying at the level they are pitching at (the stones are found and then lost again right at the end so only the seekers know get their witness after their trial) and I find such faith promoting testifying to a script written by someone else to be painful to watch. 4

Ether 3:22-23 explains there were two other stones that were the interpreters that were given him at that same time. Thus the total of 18 stones. Who knows maybe that's the setting for the sequal!!!!!!

He would bear his testimony every month, and we never knew what to expect; he had a lot of faith, but not much of a social filter. He also had a thick eastern European accent. One Sunday, this brother stood and shared a very faith promoting experience he had the previous week. He had been "afflicted" with kidney stones, and went to the hospital. He described his painful ordeal, but through faith and a lot of effort, he passed all the stone, and no blood was spilled. "Not one drop!" At this point, he produced a small pill bottle, and proceeded to shake it. As the sound rattled across the chapel, it slowly occurred to each of us what was in the bottle. There's your sequel. 1
