Please share the ongoings of your new religion once in awhile. I've wanted to attend another's faith for quite awhile. But think it might cause my marriage damage. I guess I can live through other's experience for now. Not that I want to leave the LDS, but just so interested in other's beliefs.

What appealed to me a great deal about the Episcopal church is that we, as members, understand that we're going to disagree on certain subjects. However, we celebrate that which we disagree on. Some that I have met are more Reformed and others much more Arminian. We have a good dose of liturgy that enhances our ability to commune with God as a collective and individually. It's very structured and some may consider that to be too uptight but it really isn't.

The question is even quite troublesome to me as well. I watched a sermon that shattered my atheistic worldview. The pastor who gave the sermon stated that the good and moral life that atheists do live assumes the Christian worldview. This was absolutely the most influential statement that has ever annihilated any argument I could have against God. In and of itself, it proposed a logical and rational mindset that doesn't seek to prove God's existence but to give God the benefit of the doubt and to trust Him, trust His Son and to trust Resurrection. I did not believe, with his statement in mind, that I could not respond accordingly.

I hope this helps.

Ooh, ooh, I want this sermon! Alas it is certainly not available in print or on audio. Or maybe it is?

And by the way, when I read your OP I got a lump in my throat and tears standing in my eyes! Congrats, V! Hope it all turns out in great happiness for you, my brother!

I don't have time to post the video. But go to YouTube and search Jeff Durbin Apologetics 101.

On Sunday, I went to a baby blessing for a close friend of mine who is LDS. Afterward, we went to his home for lunch. He asked me if i would ever consider joining or actually rejoin the LDS church. Initially, I thought the question to be odd and awkward. But I took a little time to consider the question. The answer is that I don't know. I'm not sure that there is a place for me in the church. Also, I'm so far removed from LDS theology that I'm not sure I could or would want to return. While the church and its members are near and dear to my heart and I love studying the theology, I don't believe that's enough. And I think most LDS would agree with me on that part.
