Imminent Death Of Evangelical Christianity?

Question: is repentance for our sins a necessary requirement for salvation?

For protestants? Yes, though when they answer no to this question they seem to be talking about "what saves you" (and the answer to that is "Christ") but not about the necessary conditions for you to be saved are (one, for example, would be that you are alive on Earth and another one that you trust Jesus as your Savior).

If they believe that as they sin, they must repent of those sins as a condition of salvation, there is little difference in their beliefs and ours.

Our old friend Rob Bowman showed up on Shawn McRaney's show, yes I still check in on Shawn now and again.  Didn't know if anyone would want to watch the guy in person.  I'm listening right now.  Maybe I'll learn something new.

Rob and Shawn together at last. :friends:

I think I will pass. I could watch two grown men pat each other on the back for only so long before I would get bored.

So far it's all over my head.  Oh, I just heard him say he worked for Walter Martin.  Goodness, I had no idea.  And so far they have had a slight disagreement.  Mainly about whether the word is God or not, something about using the word "it" and "is".   So yes, you probably might get bored.

I have had many interactions with Rob, mostly of the old myspace, then on Facebook. He used to work for/with Hennegraff- but couldn't play nice with him either, so he basically started his own "Research" ministry. But two egotistical maniacs in the same room rarely ever works out.
