The basic premise is you get some life insurance for a $200,000 payout and immediately after death, you get stuck in a nitrogen bath.People have been brought out of extreme hypothermia, and there is a lot of science behind bringing people back from this condition, but how does this in your minds relate to our religion? Is it immoral? Are you really dead? Do you go to heaven, but when resurrected, get dragged back out?I was wondering your thoughts?

Stargazer Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 The problem is that the process of freezing solid results in the growth of ice crystals inside the cells themselves which pierce cell walls and destroy them physically. There is no recovery from that, especially in the brain.

The brain cells loose connection very quickly. and at present and the forseeable future no amount of freezing/unfreezing will bring back those connections. The person is no more alive than the chicken in your freezer.

His body was brought back but without his soul and....this is after all a horror movie.Why would any spirit having left the body and gone to heaven want to return 10 years later to this mortal life?

Calm Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 I too saw this movie but I think you got the name wrong. It was "Austin Powers". A very disturbing film.I thought it was Encino Man....I tend to avoid disturbing films whether horror or comedy, I find enough to be disturbed about in real life.
