Freedom Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 This Jesuit priest considers the sense of humor of the savior. I never read the New Testament in this light before:http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/01/25/my-take-reclaiming-jesus-sense-of-humor/?hpt=hp_c3
Duncan Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) I was going to say something about the folks to the south of us but I shouldn't! I love them too much!, well not all but some! and what may I ask is with spelling "Savior" with no "U"???? Edited January 26, 2012 by Duncan
altersteve Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I've always thought the comparison Jesus makes between a rich man entering the kingdom of God and trying to shove a camel through the eye of a needle is absolutely hysterical.
The Nehor Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I always mentally change Nathaniel's question:"Can anything good come out of Utah?"
JAHS Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Jesus is the God of the Old Testament. In Numbers there's the story about a man named Balaam, who kept hitting his donkey with a stick. Suddenly "the Lord opened the mouth of the ***" and the donkey started talking to Balaam, asking why he keeps hitting him. That must have been quite a surprise to Balaam and quite a commical scene that God created, using a talking donkey to get his attention(Numbers 22:21-34).

Freedom Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 Years ago, Pres Monson, then a serving with Pres Hinkley, said that God must have a sense of humor. How else would we have gotten the giraffe?
