Why Wasn'T The King Follett Discourse Canonized?

I agree. I would love to have the actual text of what Joseph actually said. All we have are notes compiled from listeners who probably had to skip some parts in order to keep up with Joseph as he was speaking. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the King Follett discourse canonized, but doing so is not proper if we don't have the original author around to oversee its publication.

I'd love to have all of Joseph's First Vision accounts canonized, though. That's a fantastic idea.

What if the living Prophet were to give us an Authorized King Follett Sermon™? He could start with the amalgamated text from BYU Studies, edit it via inspiration and revelation, and then present it to the Church to be canonized.

Kind of like what Joseph Smith did with the Bible.

That would be fabulous.

Brother Monson! Buddy! Take a look at this thread! :)

Not to imply that great minds think alike, but I was just about to write what cinepro wrote when... he wrote it. This would give Pres. Monson a chance to use one of the less used of his titles.

I endorse this message.
