Intolerance and hate is always ugly. It is certainly not a part of the message of Jesus Christ.

Well of course not; his job is to spread the message of The Adversary: Lucifer.

Bill is obviously a closet Satanist :diablo:

Wow. That was hilarious there at the end. Ghandi is in hell? That's like the favorite atheist stereo-type of Christianity. What an idiot. This guy is incredibly hate-filled.

Yet it's a distinct possibility in LDS theology. The two relevant questions being:

1. Did Ghandi accept the Gospel in the afterlife (required for the Celestial and Terrestial)? And just because you think he's a good person doesn't mean he did or will.

2. And if not, does D&C 76:84 apply to every person who inherits the Telestial or just the wicked?

I prefer to think he did accept, but I have no way of knowing it.

Isn't this kind of belief inevitable though for anyone who truly believes that faith alone in Christ saves and that works have absolutely no bearing on our salvation?

There's a big difference between not knowing and asserting the "fact" of his eternal suffering with such arrogance. It's like he's reveling in his own perceived superiority and doesn't mind the obvious injustice of sending Ghandi to hell FOREVER. Also, the D&C says that the terrestrial kingdom is for the just. Should we assume Ghandi wasn't just? I'm reasonably confident that he accepted the atonement, personally. Of course, if I thought he went to hell, I certainly wouldn't be the type of person to apparently revel in it. If nothing else, it shows very poor comprehension of how it makes him look and much worse, Christianity.

Depends on if any temple work was done on him.
