David is now getting wonderful standing ovations on the critic board. Why? Because Will is their nemesis.What critics think doesn't really concern me. This isn't a game of football. It's about the right way to do things vs the wrong way to do things. If critics think they've scored a point, why should we care? It's not about scoring points, it's about proper behavior. Defending someone just because he's on your team is the "worldly" way to do things, not the Christian way.

If fact the way he responds goes against everything he is trying to defend.Because you have no idea just Will goes through. His posts on this board are routinely screened and can end up on a different board full of insinuations that are rather unpleasant. And this may color just the way he responds to such critics. Now should he rise above it? Maybe. But when one has been attacked for many, many moons, it can be rather difficult.

Once the ball gets rolling, it's difficult to stop, which is why Will's comments about personal contacts that might destroy one's career and/or personal ambitions should never have started this unfortunate affair. Under such circumstances, I feel both a profession and moral responsibility to provide a response.Sadly, none of us can control how our public comments are used which is why we should always be on our best behavior.

If they called you a liar, would that bother you? If they called you a ignorant fool, would that bother you? And if they would post posts with negative connotations about you year after year...would that color the way you post to them or respond to them?
