Thinking Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 This last question of yours is to me somewhat of a non-sequitor. Where would you be going with this? You wrote:If there were to be no more, then a simple declaration to this effect would be sufficient, then none could be deceived!I'm not saying that Jesus made any such declaration, but you strongly hinted that he didn't. You then used that to justify your belief that there has to be prophets.

Monster Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Yes he predicted the future, but what is wrong with secular reason winning the day. Maxwell says it is a bad thing. Secularist are not saying that you can not believe what you want, just don't try and make public policy with your beliefs. Contrary to manys notion of secularism, they are not a bunch of whoremongers running around trying to destroy humanity. Everyone that I know at least are very decent people trying to make the world a better place. IN fact they are better than most religionist. They are concerned with the here and now and how we can fix the problems we face now, and not so focused on their eternal reward. To imply that religionists are superior in some way is a false premise not based on facts but emotion.
