  1. As you all know dad passed away recently. We have a group of feral cats here that we have been feeding for about 2 to 3 years. We are giving the place back to the mortgage company. Hopefully this happens by May 15th so we can go back to our regular life. The problem is we have two cats that are pregnant. I'm afraid the kittens will be born here and they will all starve to death after we leave. I suspect they're about 40 days maybe even 50 days through their gestation period. We have called every cat rescue group in the entire two County area. We can find no takers. Mama Sarge is a wonderful mother and this will be about her fifth litter. The other one is a young Siamese kitten who has never had a litter yet. I worry about her. She may not know what to do. Anyways if anybody is in the Southern California area and can take one of these moms I will capture them and bring them to you and Supply food on a monthly basis from chewy. Thank you all for your attention and help.
  2. I am forced to buy a new laptop. What is the least expensive laptop for shopping, banking, listening to music and some document work. Thanks for your help.
  3. Oh, darn it.
  4. Yeah, humans are that way. All you have to do is look and see how people maintain their cars that they drive every single day. Go figure.
  5. you wouldn't believe anybody that said it.
  6. Thanks everyone. I'll hopefully have time tomorrow to get serious about it. I have been in the lower Kingdom shredding paperwork. Then we had another trip to the mortuary and another trip to the bank. The papers shredding is endless though. I know you can collect it all in send it to a service but collecting it the hard part and separating what you need to keep and don't keep.
  7. Thank you Manol. Dad was a believer. I appreciate the selections you have given us. I like Rev 21:4 I like 1st Corinthians 15:55 also. I wish I had my scriptures here. They're down in Mexico on the boat.
  8. I left my scriptures up in Eureka. I have some here but they don't have the index and stuff in it. I'm looking for the verses that say we have victory over death through Christ. I'd appreciate any help you guys and gals can give me. He was not a member of the church and did not have a witness of the Book of Mormon. So the verses will need to be from the Bible.
  9. I'm finally at Dad's home with Patti. She is not as well as she sounded over the phone. Her weight is down to 79 lb and she can't drink Boost because it creates flem her throat. Does anyone have a suggestion of some kind of Vitamin Water I can buy for her that will give her calories that's not milk-based? She really only eats one meal a day. I can't get her to eat breakfast. She's been that way for a long time.
  10. Well I just thought I'd let you all know your prayers have come to fruition Patti is doing really well. I really appreciate all the effort you guys put into praying for us. Thanks again.
  11. Thank you all, she seems much better today.
  12. Dad finally passed away Saturday at 5:30 a.m. it's been a long watch for my wife Patti, it seems she has picked up a bug from being at the hospital so many times. She is allergic to antibiotics so could you please all pray for her to get well really quick. She's the one arranging the funeral and taking care of business until I get there next weekend.
  13. Thank you. I'm blessed to have Patti, my wife of 52 years.
  14. I had to make the call tonight to turn the machines off. They'll do it tomorrow while Patti holds his hand. I suspect he's not really there right now anyways. Thank you all for your prayers. This would be really tough if I didn't believe in Jesus Christ and that he died to save us from Eternal death. I truly believe he will be with Mom tomorrow and we will see them again when it's our turn to pass through to the next life. Thanks again.
  15. 2 days ago he was doing great now he had a relapse with the pneumonia. Thanks for your prayers I hope he makes it for another year or two. Mostly for the sake of the caregivers. They really have no place to go when they leave here.
  16. Dad made it through pneumonia and is now at rehab to get physically well after laying in bed for a few weeks. His lucidity will return as his strength returns. Keep praying please.
  17. I've had robotic surgery once already. That was for a hernia. I've heard they have robotic surgery now for the prostate. I'm really pleased with the medical service they have in the Torrance-San Pedro area of California. We actually call that the South Bay Area I don't really know why but anyways there you have it.
  18. Dad is in the hospital recovering from pneumonia. It's too soon to lose him, he is only 92 .I'll be ok but his caregivers need him for awhile yet so they can get their feet under them. Finances are really tight. I'm working to pay my bills and some of his too. 3 more months and his truck is paid for. Then things will get easier. I'm having some prostate troubles myself. I get a CT scan Monday. So far the biggest bump is benign but a little teany dot is malignant. They sent my stuff off for a special study. Thanks in advance.
  19. There are non-fiction books? Who knew? I live in a make believe world.
  20. So you have to resort to calling me a liar? What a guy. FYI that woman was right in front of me I was next in line, I'm pretty tall. I could see right over her shoulder, It wasn't 6400 exact. It was crowded. I guess it was welfare check day. I never go to that bank I had to to make sure the guy that paid me didn't stiff me and take it from his bank in cash and put it in my bank.
  21. Google: are there a lot of empty houses in Silicon Valley that were bought up by the Chinese? Then Google how many times Chinese enter the United States in the last 10 years to have a US citizen child.
  22. A small example is the song Hotstepper. I don't have time to hunt up more, about to go to work. It's more effective if you watch the video.
  23. It's a personal observation. When cashing a check at the bank and a person in front of me cashes a welfare check that is twice as large as my monthly check for working 40 hours per week it really makes me crabby. How many kids do you have to have to draw 6400 a month? PS, I got a 30% raise since Trump was elected.
  24. Boy are you naive.
  25. How about when we decide to let AI push the button? Are we already there?
