rodheadlee Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I was wondering if you die and you have dementia do you have to wait until the resurrection to get your marbles back? Or do you think up on death you get your correct mind back?

Dementia is caused by physical damage to the brain, not the spirit, so there seems no reason not to be fully there once one has died and the spirit is unencumbered with trying to function with and communicate through a damaged brain. I based this on my experience with my mother and grandmother. Edited January 7 by Calm 4

Or do you think up on death you get your correct mind back? I have a lot of interest in this question and the ones like it. Most of it comes down to Where does mental illness end and toxic behavior begin? I'm pretty sure the answer is: I need to form a better question. There isn't any dividing line. They're dissimilar things with a lot of overlap. Regarding the resurrection: The Q becomes what kind of people will my toxic ex (still sealed) and monstrous father be? The veil promises to scrub-away their mental illness. The veil does not promise to unwind how MI shaped their eternal being (or that of their families). So will they be good enough to spend eternity with? I have no clue. 3

Or do you think up on death you get your correct mind back? This time I'll address your actual question. My understanding is healing is done when passing through the veil. Apparently, dying brings out our best mental health. edit: I think the alternative (withholding healing until the resurrection) would turn spirit prison into a less-cheerful ver of Fight Club.
