Too easy to find contradictory info of that interpretation.  Who would believe a lie like that would work and not backfire?

I agree.  It makes much more sense that they said something they believed was accurate but didn't think the implication all the way through or were imprecise with their language.

I understand that you believe they have nefarious motives.  I don't see evidence of that in these exchanges.

Can you show me where in Mormon doctrine , lesson manuals or whatever where the height of steeples on temples is important is taught? I’m willing to change my opinion but I was married in mesa temple and it doesn’t even have a steeples the idea it is neccessary and needs to be tall is total bs and a completely made up argument by the church.

I already acknowledged that an importance of steeple height isn’t taught doctrinally anywhere so I’m not really sure what you’re asking me.

I think that the importance of height and grandeur of the building is very much implied in our beliefs, but nothing specifically about steeple height.

The idea of movement upwards teaching us to come closer to God is present, imo, in the moving upstairs as one moves through the parts of the endowment in some temples.  Also the frequent references to the Mountain of the Lord, being taken up into high places….
