I read what you wrote, and you’re correct, nothing wrong with what you said. You do realize if you piss the wrong poster off you’ll be thread banned fairly quickly. Probably just like me after I post this 😂 I can attest to that! I was kicked off a thread and I asked for an explanation from the moderator but I got crickets, lol. Oh well, it is what it is:) I guess I’m not boring:) Edited February 8, 2022 by Peacefully 3
strappinglad Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 First: If one did receive a reason, the issue would probably not end there as the poster could express a disagreement and off it would run for who knows how long. Mods have limited time for such . Second : Having just now reviewed the guidelines, I can find at least one where this thread could be in violation. Search and ye shall find. Third: Maybe a Mod was having fried chicken for supper. 1

Again, decent moderation would seem to give some direction as to why someone was kicked out of a thread so behavior can be improved. But that never happens. Even when you ask the mods. They ignore you. That is why I think the moderation here sucks. As someone who was a mod on another board, while it seems like that would be accurate, my experience was it was not. In fact the more time I spent explaining, the worse behaviour appeared to get. I got endless arguments and sulky behaviour that infected all their posts…and then when other posters decided to take sides or appeal for others. I think only one poster never argued with me and simply changed their behavior and that was Pahoran. I hated moderation because of the moderate/explain/defend/explain again/juvenile poster response passive aggressively not quite breaking rules but sure breaking the spirit of the law cycle etc. Take that out and moderation would have been a breeze since most were civil. By mods here not engaging, my guess is posters who care about not being banned because they want to be civil improve overall because they are not sure just what it is they did wrong, so they are generally more careful. Those who don’t care about civility get frustrated eventually and leave. Edited February 8, 2022 by Calm 3

Not to interact with certain posters:) Edited February 8, 2022 by Peacefully 1
